Wellness & Yoga Retreat in Savusavu
We are excited to offer for the first time an exclusive Fiji local offer, inviting anyone from around Fiji to come and experience Daku Resort in Savusavu and attend the ‘Wellness & yoga Retreat’ led by our Fiji-based yoga instructor Alana from Kama Yoga Fiji.

About the Event
Alana Tilly of Kama Yoga offers a nurturing and invaluable wellness and yoga retreat in the beautiful surroundings on Daku Resort in Savusavu. Alana has been leading yoga sessions along the Coral Coast to Nadi and Denarau Island in Fiji for over 7 years, she brings her well-established mixture of hatha, vinyasa and restorative yoga to Savusavu for participants to enjoy on this retreat.
Running for 5 nights from July 2 – 7 (with the option of coming for just 3 nights), the retreat provides a new an fantastic opportunity for Fiji locals to explore the best of Fiji’s travel locations and participate in a world-class retreat at a fraction of the usual cost. Social distancing guidelines will be followed as per the Fiji government recommendations (20pax max etc.)
The retreat provides a much-needed opportunity for creating time and space to re-establish helpful self-care habits around creating balance, taking care of our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing especially during challenging times. Yoga sessions are suitable for any age, ability or agility and both experienced and beginners are welcome or even those who want to try yoga for the first time in a supportive environment!
Offering two 90-minute yoga sessions a day, the first practice starts at 7.00am and is followed by a healthy options brunch. Then you have time to relax, go into Savusavu town or explore the many activities and unique artisan products around Savusavu. In the late afternoon the second 90-minute session is from 4.00pm to 5.30pm. This can be a gentler session and depending on the mood of the group and may incorporate restorative yoga.
The yoga practice takes place in Daku Resort’s stunning yoga shala; a custom built open-sided platform with a spacious deck overlooking magnificent view of the bay creating a feeling of deep tranquillity and peace.
Then it’s time to gather at the bar for a drink before dinner at 7.00pm.
Activities
All of our non-motorised activities are free – kayaks, SUPs, snorkeling outside the resort, hiking and of course just relaxing by the pool.
For those who are new to Savusavu or even for regular returnees, there are plenty of unique aspects and activities to explore around Savusavu. A range of activities, showcasing Savusavu’s best kept secrets such as; stunning reefs for snorkeling, calm waters for a downwind SUP adventure, cascading waterfalls, tours of the world-famous J.Hunter Pearl farm or explore the exotic palm gardens. A recommended trip is to the KokoMana chocolate farm and factory just behind Daku Resort, where you can hear all about how the cocoa pods are cultivated and then processed into delicious artisan chocolate.
The price for the retreat covers accommodation, brunch and dinner and all yoga sessions. The retreat is built around 5 nights, but we are also offering a 3-night option for those who can’t get the time off work. This is really a wonderful chance for locals to explore the wonders of our own country, that normally only international visitors take the time to enjoy. all whilst gaining the benefits of a wellness-based retreat at a fraction of the price (regular 7-night retreats are FJ$2,750 upwards).
Accommodation is being offered in our bures on a run-of-house basis: there’s a choice of front bures with an ocean view or back bures with their glorious outdoor showers looking down on the pool. These will be offered subject to availability at time of booking.
