International Yoga Day 2020 - Rhum-ba Denarau Community Yoga session
Time & Location
About the Event
In celebrating International Yoga Day, Kama Yoga Fiji (aka. Alana Tilly) and Fiona Sofield of Ashtanga Yoga Fiji are collaborating to host a yoga session each to celebrate! The classes will be donation based with proceeds going towards Rotary Club of Nadi for their relief appeal in hand delivering food and ration packs to needy families in the Nadi community.
Fiona's 1hr yoga session will be hosted on the second floor event space at The Rhum-ba at Port Denarau Marina on Friday 19th June 2020 at 9.30am. Due to government restrictions the session will be limited to 19 people and we request that participants bring their own mat, towel, water and cash donation for the session. Places are limited and bookings essential, so RSVP for your place to ensure you get a spot.
Fiona will lead a vinyasa-style class that will meet you at whatever level you are at. Challenge your strength, flexibility and balance through a series of Sun Salutations and standing postures, hopefully working up a light sweat, and finishing with some sweet, well deserved yin-style postures to open and release the body. The session will be completed with a semi-guided savasana, and you should leave feeling energised, light and clear.
After the session, participants are welcome to gather downstairs and the bar will be open with refreshing iced teas available for purchase. Feel free to stay a little longer and enjoy the yoga glow, company, sea breezes and enjoy the views over the marina as you pause to ponder what International Yoga Day meant for you.
